Improving Your Team From Within

Improve your team's knowledge of Agile at a very practical level.

Course details

This practical two-hour workshop builds on Introduction to Agile Development. We'll assume a basic familiarity with the agile ideals, and will begin with a run-through of the typical lifecycle using an example project. Then we'll try it in practice, creating a vision, writing user stories, building a sprint plan, and conducting a retrospective.

We'll also discuss some of the technical practices we use, including pair programming, automated testing, continuous integration, and test-driven development. We'll wrap up with some 'war stories' and some hints on how to avoid common pitfalls.

Delivered to your whole team, this workshop provides enough groundwork to start developing. From there you can quickly incorporate new practices at whatever pace suits your team. We'll provide suggestions for further learning, and we also recommend some coaching sessions once your project is underway.
